Employment Works Canada

Registration is now open for the Winter 2017 Program Session!

Abilities Centre is pleased to offer an exciting new employment preparedness training program for young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) called EmploymentWorks Canada.
EmploymentWorks Canada is one of three new Worktopia programs that have been designed to improve the employment futures of young adults with ASD. It is a 14-week employment preparedness training program for young adults ages 15 to 29 who are no longer attending school and are seeking opportunities to develop the skills necessary to obtain meaningful and sustainable paid employment. The program incorporates peer and co-worker support, and uses adult learning principles to develop and practice social, communication and employment skills in a variety of workplace settings and teams. It occurs two times per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 – 11:30 am & will start on January 17, 2017. There is currently no charge to participate in the program. Registration paperwork is due by December 7, 2017.
