Selfconscious Theatre (Toronto) and Abilities Centre are recruiting participants from Durham Region for our Inclusion Choir. Come and be part of a professional performance of The Book of Judith, coming to Abilities Centre from June 12 to 14, 2014, after a successful Ontario tour!

Members & Non-Members FREE
The Book of Judith is a musical play inspired by the real-life friendship between theatre artist Michael Rubenfeld and Judith Snow, an artist and disability advocate who lives with quadriplegia. In the performance, Rubenfeld plays a character who begins to see himself as a preacher and corals an integrated choir of singers of varying abilities to help him tell his inspirational (yet suspect) tale. The show's central philosophy is that inclusive thinking adds significant societal value. The choir is central to the show, modelling its inclusion message.
Choir rehearsals will be held at Abilities Centre and led by professional choir leader Abby Zotz. Anyone can join and singing expertise is not required. A performance fee is included.
