Abilities Centre Dream Gala a Huge Success!

The Board of Directors of the Abilities Centre would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported their Inaugural Dream Gala held on October 12, 2006 at the Deer Creek Golf and Banquet Facility and helped to make it a resounding success.
With the generosity of so many individuals and local, provincial and national organizations, we were able to net in excess of $500,000. The Dream Gala was the official launch of the public campaign to raise awareness and much needed dollars to build and equip the Abilities Centre, which will be located adjacent to the Iroquois Park Sports Centre. The Abilities Centre will be a Centre of Excellence - a world class recreation, athletic and performing arts facility fully accessible to all persons with varying degrees of abilities and challenges. The Abilities Centre will be a true gem in the Region of Durham.
We thank you all again for helping us spread the word about the need for this facility and for assisting us in moving closer to our goal of $16,000,000. We look forward to opening the doors to this facility in the Spring of 2008 and hope that we can count on your support in the future.
