• Abilities Centre Receives Ontario Trillium Foundation One-time Funding of $97,500 for the Trails for All Ontarians Collaborative
  
  The Trails for All Ontarians Collaborative (TAOC) is a joint endeavour of trail and accessibility organizations from across the province for which the Abilities Centre is the lead organization. It was formed because of the substantial amount of "misinformation" and erroneous assumptions commonly held regarding the nature of "accessible" recreation trails. The goal of the TAOC was to develop Inclusive Trail Construction and Maintenance Guidelines which will provide information and resources needed to build and maintain recreation trails that are accessible to people of all abilities and which are compatible with, and protective of, the surrounding natural environment. The funding received from the Ontario Trillium Foundation was one-time for the purpose listed above and was received over 12 months beginning in the Winter of 2006.
