Starting Point

Specialized seated exercise program for people with a range of neuromuscular conditions (I.e. Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Acquired brain injury). Anyone with a neuromuscular condition can participate in Starting Point, however it is recommended that individuals can independently transfer and weight-bear (with assistance of a parallel support bar if needed) to safely participate in the program.

Classes are supervised by qualified fitness instructors and run for 45-minutes, twice a week.
Classes are delivered in a seated format.
Instructors provide variations to exercises to ensure optimal participation from all, regardless of ability level
Seated warm-up and cool down focus on flexibility and range of motion
Starting Point offers many benefits, such as:

  • Improvement of balance and strength
  • Reduction in the risk of falls
  • Improvement of quality of life and general fitness level
With a 1:3 instructor-to-participant ratio, you receive safe and knowledgeable instruction from our attentive instructors
