The Membership Assistance Program provides reduced membership fees for individuals and families who face financial challenges to joining as Abilities Centre members.

  • What is Required?

    To apply, you will need to provide income verification and a completed application for review. Income verification may include a Notice of Assessment, three recent pay stubs, an ODSP Statement, proof of CPP, or any additional proof of income. Please request a package at the Welcome Desk.  

  • How to Apply?

    Bring all your documents and apply at the welcome desk. 
     

  • Next Steps?

    If approved, you will receive an email outlining the details of your membership and the next steps to register. For monthly payments, a copy of a void cheque or credit card information is required. Members supported through the Membership Assistance Program must re-apply annually.

  • How do I sign up for a membership?

    You can sign up on our website or stop by our front desk to register! 

  • How do the monthly membership plans work?

    Simply provide us with a credit card or void cheque and you will automatically be billed monthly for our services. 

  • Can I suspend or cancel my membership?

    You can suspend your membership for a minimum of one month to a maximum of three months, with 10 days’ notice required. A $10 administration hold fee will apply for all holds.  
    Cancellations will be processed with 30 days' notice. A $30 cancellation fee will apply to all cancellations. 

  • How old do I have to be to sign up?

    Individuals under the age of 16 are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian upon registration for our services (membership, day passes, single passes). The parent or guardian is required to sign a liability waiver on the behalf of the individual. Once the waiver has been signed, individuals ages 12-16 are not required to be accompanied by a parent/guardian while using our facilities.
